We have experienced Hemophilus influenzae meningitis complicated by subdural empyema, which
was confirmed by computerized tomography and subdural tapping.
The patient was 5-month-old female who was admitted with high fever and generalized siezure.
Hemophilus influenzae meningitis was confirmed by the culture of spinal fluid. The organism was
sensitive to the ampicillin but the clinical course was not satisfactory with persisting high fever
because of complication.... |
